— Our story

From the bazaar
to the loupe.

Karimabad has been a centre of the Karachi gemstone trade for decades. Our workshop opened here in 1998 with a single show case, two stools, and a magnifying lamp.

What started as a wholesale operation supplying loose stones to local jewellers has, over twenty-five years, grown into a full retail business — loose stones, finished rings, pendants, tasbeeh strings, and custom commissions.

The trade has changed. Synthetic stones got better. Treatments got harder to spot. The market got crowded with shops that promise the moon and deliver glass. We've tried to do the opposite — slow down, document everything, and sell only what we can stand behind under a 10× loupe.

Every stone over PKR 5,000 leaves the shop with an independent lab certificate. Every transaction comes with a written description of origin, treatment, and weight. Returns are easy. We'd rather walk away from a sale than ship something we don't believe in.

— What we stand on

Three things,
non-negotiable.

01

Certification, always.

Independent labs only. We don't write our own reports. If a stone can't pass a gemological exam, we won't sell it.

02

Honest treatment talk.

Heated, oiled, treated — we name what's been done to every stone, and price it accordingly. No "all natural" claims on stones that aren't.

03

Returns without theatre.

Seven days. No questions, no restocking fee, no guilt-trip. If you don't love the stone in your hand, send it back.

— Where the stones come from

Sourcing routes.

Pakistan is a producer country for emerald (Swat), pink topaz (Mardan, Katlang), aquamarine, peridot and a growing supply of garnet and tourmaline. For our domestic stones, we buy directly from mine cooperatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — typically rough, which we then send to our cutting partners in Peshawar and Bangkok.

For imported stones, we work with three families of houses: long-standing trading partners in Colombo (sapphire, zircon), Jaipur (ruby, fancy sapphire, aqeeq), and Bangkok (everything else). We visit twice a year. Stones are examined under both natural and lamp light before purchase.
