The sky-blue heritage stone — treasured across the Muslim world for centuries, above all the Nishapuri (Irani) feroza. Worn for protection, calm and blessing.
Feroza is a sky-blue to green phosphate mineral, softer than the corundum stones at about 5–6 on the Mohs scale, so it is worn and stored with more care. The most prized comes from Nishapur in Iran, known for its even sky-blue. It is a deeply traditional stone — long associated in Muslim heritage with protection and barkat (blessing).
Feroza is worn widely for protection, calm, and blessing (barkat), and holds special place in Islamic and regional tradition rather than a single planetary rule. It is a favourite in rings and is often gifted for good fortune.
Who should be cautious: feroza is soft — keep it away from perfume, water and knocks. That's a care note, not an astrological one; it suits most wearers.
These are traditional beliefs, not scientific or medical claims, and results vary. Wear a gemstone by choice and with guidance.
Feroza is priced by piece (colour, matrix, origin, whether natural or stabilised) more than strictly by carat. Nishapuri stones command a premium. Indicative ranges for genuine feroza in Pakistan:
| Quality | Description | Indicative price / carat (PKR) |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial | Stabilised or lighter stones, everyday wear | 1,000 – 6,000 |
| Good | Even sky-blue, natural, nice matrix | 6,000 – 25,000 |
| Fine | Top Nishapuri sky-blue, untreated | 30,000 – 150,000+ |

Turquoise is one of the most imitated stones — dyed howlite/magnesite, reconstituted powder, and plastic are all sold as feroza. Honest checks:
Every feroza we sell over PKR 5,000 comes with an independent certificate, and we disclose any treatment.
Because feroza is porous and soft, much of it is stabilised (impregnated with resin to harden it) — this is common and acceptable if disclosed. Dyed or reconstituted material is a bigger intervention and worth far less. Fully natural, untreated Nishapuri feroza is the most valuable. We tell you which category a stone falls in before you buy.

Feroza is traditionally worn for protection, calm and blessing (barkat), and holds a cherished place in Islamic and regional heritage. These are traditional beliefs, not medical claims.
Feroza suits most people and is popular for everyday wear and gifting. It isn't tied to a single planet the way sapphire or ruby are — many wear it simply for its heritage and protective association.
Genuine feroza runs roughly PKR 1,000–6,000 for stabilised everyday stones, PKR 6,000–25,000 for good natural sky-blue pieces, and PKR 30,000–150,000+ for top untreated Nishapuri stones. Feroza is usually priced per piece.
For a valuable stone, a lab check is safest. Dyed howlite shows dye pooled in the veins, real feroza is cool and stone-like while plastic warms quickly, and very cheap uniform "feroza" in bulk is usually dyed or reconstituted. Always ask if it's natural, stabilised or dyed.
Nishapuri (Irani) feroza is the most prized for its even sky-blue colour and heritage, and commands the highest prices. We can source Nishapuri and other origins — message us for what's available.
